Designed for experienced and novice performers, “Acting for the Internet” explores the foundations of acting and comedy, and how to apply these principals to the internet age. Students will participate in improvisation games, acting techniques, and character creation exercises with the overall goal of creating content for an online audience. We will discuss vlogging in character and sketch comedy, as well as the transition from online to traditional media. The workshop will conclude with a reflection session where students will review what they have learned, and can ask any questions they have about being an entertainment professional. Recommended ages 16 +
